I am a partner in Ropes & Gray's IP Litigation Group. I am currently a resident in the Tokyo office. I grew up in the suburbs of Tokyo and started my legal practice in Tokyo in the early '90's. I practiced law in the New York Office, prior to my assignment in the Tokyo office. My family and I are surely enjoying our temporary "homecoming."

My passion for legal practice is in good part fueled by the energy of the people around me. The diversity of the people in New York and Tokyo, and the bonding that I have had the privilege of forming with the colleagues at Ropes & Gray is truly one of the drivers of my practice. When law school students ask me what distinguishes Ropes & Gray from other firms, I have no hesitation to answer that is the people our firm has.
