I feel fortunate to have experienced significant cultural diversity in the town I grew up in, at the academic institutions I attended, and in the cities I have lived in as an adult. In selecting a firm to work at, it was important to me to find a place that would enable me to continue this tradition. At Ropes & Gray, my colleagues are not only diverse but (perhaps more importantly) accepting and appreciative of others' differences, including those differences that extend beyond race, culture and ethnicity. I am also glad to have the resources of the Attorneys of Color Group available. This group provides an organized opportunity to engage with diverse attorneys at the firm and exchange ideas, experiences and even gifts during the holidays in our annual “Yankee Swap” event.
