I am a partner in Ropes & Gray’s IP Litigation group. My practice focuses on patent litigation, licensing and counseling. I began my career at the boutique firm of Fish & Neave, which merged with Ropes & Gray in 2005. Between 2004-2007, I “detoured” to another firm, but I missed my colleagues and friends, so I came back. It is very good to be home! Ropes & Gray continues the legacy of everything that I loved about my time at Fish & Neave: incredibly intelligent, kind and supportive people working on fascinating cases. It’s difficult to ask for more.
I was born in Saigon, Vietnam but emigrated to the United States when I was very young. I grew up in Southern California, obtained my Bachelor’s from the University of California at Irvine, my Master’s from the UC San Diego and my law degree from UC Berkeley. Throughout my childhood and schooling, I was always surrounded by ethnically diverse people, and I came to expect that from every environment I am in. While that may sound difficult to achieve, I believe that it’s not only possible, but it is also extremely important to the health of any organization. I am very proud of Ropes & Gray’s commitment to diversity, and I am pleased to be a part of such a strong, dynamic and happy work environment.
