I was born and raised in Hong Kong, where I lived for 13 years before my family moved to southern California. After high school, I spent many years on the east coast – first in the Philadelphia area where I went to college at Swarthmore, and then in Boston where I went to Boston University School of Law and began my career at Ropes & Gray.
I have always been impressed that Ropes & Gray strives for excellence without losing sight of the importance of and need for diversity. Through the firm's support of the Attorneys of Color Group, I've been given opportunities to connect with colleagues from other departments and other offices, whom I otherwise might not get to know. Many of these colleagues have now become my mentors and good friends.
I believe that the firm's commitment to diversity also prepares us well for an increasingly globalized and multicultural legal practice, which is quickly becoming the norm. With my recent move to our Hong Kong office, I am looking forward to meeting more new colleagues and working closely with our Asian clients.
