I decided to join Ropes & Gray principally because of the breadth of its corporate practice, its unparalleled reputation for excellence, and perhaps most importantly, the people that the firm seemed to attract. The firm has exceeded my expectations in all of these respects, but I have also been pleasantly surprised by the firm's commitment to diversity. The number of attorneys of color at the firm has grown tremendously in the time that I have been here, and I have seen the great efforts that the firm has made to make that happen. Cultural diversity has always been an important part of my personal life, and I am grateful to work at a firm that I believe is genuinely interested in making our profession more inclusive.
