I joined Ropes & Gray by way of its merger with Fish & Neave.  After five years in the combined firm, I can confidently say our culture embraces an openness to diversity in the broadest sense of the word.

Ropes & Gray's commitment to having, maintaining and enhancing diversity in the work place is evident by the composition of our legal and nonlegal teams.  The firm has many processes in place aimed at fostering diversity in the workplace, including the Diversity Committee charged to ensure that the firm's diversity related objectives are carried through.  There are also various affinity groups, such as the Attorneys of Color, the Women's Forum and the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Forum, all of which afford the attorneys in those groups to discuss matters of common interest.  And finally, there is an institutional and individual commitment to mentoring at Ropes & Gray that ensures the development of our diverse work force.
