I am a second generation Indian American and was born and raised in a suburb of Denver, Colorado.  I spent much of my childhood learning, and later teaching, classical and folk styles of Indian dance.  I ended up on the East Coast for college, and am happy to now call Boston my home.

I joined Ropes & Gray in 2006 (after being a summer associate here in 2005).  I came to the firm with an interest in intellectual property and corporate law.  Since joining the firm I have had the opportunity to develop a broad-based practice spanning our Transactional Intellectual Property and Life Sciences groups, including work on both software and life sciences licensing matters, commercial transactions and venture capital financing for small technology and biotechnology companies.  I love my work and my practice groups and am thrilled that I made the choice to work at Ropes & Gray.

As the first lawyer in my family, I didn’t know what to expect at a place like Ropes & Gray.  Starting with my experience in the summer program, I was delighted to find that the Ropes & Gray community is warm and welcoming, and that the firm’s commitment to diversity is real.  This firm’s commitment to diversity—in all its forms—has always made me feel at ease at work.  I count among my friends and mentors at work people with experiences that are very similar to my own and people with experiences entirely different from what I have known.  This is part of what makes Ropes & Gray a great place to be.

Outside of work, I love playing golf and working on my photography skills.
