The Women’s Forum is one of the many ways in which Ropes & Gray demonstrates its appreciation of diversity and its dedication to addressing issues that women face in the workplace. The Forum sponsors and coordinates a number of firm-wide events and initiatives, including an annual clothing drive, lunch gatherings for women associates, a book and movie club, and a speaker series. As a member of the Women’s Forum, I have helped in planning and organizing these events, which are all very well-received by the Ropes & Gray community as a whole. My personal favorite is the business-attire clothing drive for the benefit of low income individuals in and around the Boston area. These individuals complete a job training program run by a local shelter and the firm’s donations help them make positive impressions as they pursue new employment opportunities. My experiences as a member of the Women’s Forum and as a corporate associate have been incredibly fulfilling and frequently remind me of the firm’s commitment to attracting and retaining women attorneys of the highest caliber.
