Over the past several years, Ropes & Gray has expanded its presence in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. First, Ropes & Gray opened its San Francisco office in 2001, and then the firm gained its Silicon Valley office as part of the combination with Fish & Neave in 2005. Although the firm has served a national client base for many years, our recent growth in these locations has particularly supported our Private Equity, Life Sciences, High Tech, Securities, Health Care, Investment Management, and Litigation, and Complex Business Litigation and Government Enforcement practice areas.

Directions to Ropes & Gray's San Francisco Office

Directions from the East Bay: Cross the Bay Bridge to San Francisco. Take the Fremont Street exit to the right, turning left at the base of the off ramp and cross Market Street in one of the right lanes of traffic. Fremont Street changes to Front Street as you cross Market Street. Travel four blocks on Front Street (crossing Pine, California, Sacramento to Clay) and turn right on Clay then right onto Davis and then make an immediate left into the parking garage, which is on the left in the middle of the block between Clay and Sacramento.

Directions from the Peninsula (south of the City and the SFO airport): Take 101 North, then merge to the right onto 280 North and follow 280 North to the last San Francisco exit (have to stay to the right and not get on 280 south just after getting off 101). The last exit is King Street. King will turn into Embarcadero; follow this to Washington Street (just past the Ferry Building). Turn left onto Washington Street, go one block to Drumm and turn left onto Drumm. Go two blocks to Sacramento and turn right onto Sacramento. Follow Sacramento 2 blocks to Front Street and turn right, then right again on Clay then right onto Davis and then make an immediate left into the parking garage, which is on the left in the middle of the block between Clay and Sacramento.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Instead of getting off on 280, follow 101 North to San Francisco. Exit 101 at 4th Street (the last exit in San Francisco), also marked ("Embarcadero"). The exit becomes Bryant. Go one block and turn left onto 3rd Street. As it crosses over Market, 3rd becomes Kearny. Follow Kearny seven blocks to Clay Street. Turn right on Clay and follow five blocks to Davis (passing the Transamerica Pyramid on your left). Turn right onto Davis and then make an immediate left into parking garage, which is on the left in the middle of the block between Clay and Sacramento.

Directions from Marin (north of the City): Cross the Golden Gate Bridge (101) and take Lombard Street to Van Ness. Turn right onto Van Ness and follow to Broadway. Turn left on Broadway and go through the Broadway tunnel. Turn right onto Columbus Ave until it turns into Montgomery Street, then follow to Clay (the Transamerica Pyramid will be on the left). Turn left onto Clay and follow for four blocks to Davis. Turn right onto Davis and then make an immediate left into parking garage, which is on the left in the middle of the block between Clay and Sacramento.

Directions by Public Transit: Take BART or Muni to the Embarcadero station. Three Embarcadero is 2 blocks north. Exit via the Davis/Market entrance and walk on Davis past Pine and California to Sacramento, turn right, enter building in center and take escalator up one level to office building lobby. Take the "F-Market" streetcar and get off at Drumm & Market and walk on Drumm past California to Sacramento, turn left, enter building in center and take escalator up one level to office building lobby. Directions to SFO Airport from Ropes & Gray San Francisco: Returning to SFO from Ropes & Gray Office: Exit garage onto Davis. Follow Davis across Sacramento and California, and cross Market. After Market Street, the street becomes Beale; go two blocks and turn right onto Howard. After a few blocks get into left lane, turn left onto 4th Street (the Metreon is on the corner and the Marriott is across the street). At Harrison, two blocks up you will see the freeway on-ramp for 101 South. Enter freeway here and take 101 South. After about 20 minutes you will see the exit for SFO. (Disregard any exits for "Airport Blvd" and only exit at the actual SFO exit.)

Directions to Ropes & Gray's Silicon Valley Office

From San Francisco International Airport (SFO): Depart San Francisco International Airport and go south on Highway 101 towards Palo Alto and San Jose approximately 18 miles. Take the University Avenue exit to Palo Alto and stay in the middle lane. Turn left on University Avenue and take the first right onto Woodland Avenue. Make an immediate right at the next light into the University Circle office complex. For guest parking, take the first left upon entering the complex. From Oakland International Airport (OAK): Departing the airport, travel east on Hegenberger Road to Highway 880 south. Follow Highway 880 south towards San José for approximately 8 miles to Highway 92 west. Travel west on Highway 92 across the San Mateo Bridge to Highway 101 south. Proceed south on Highway 101 for 10 miles to University Avenue exit. Turn left onto University Avenue and take first right onto Woodland Avenue. Make an immediate right at the next light into the University Circle office complex. For guest parking, take the first left upon entering the complex. From San Jose International Airport (SJC): Depart San Jose International Airport, follow the signs to Highway 101 North. Travel on Highway 101 North for approximately 14 miles. Exit at University Avenue and follow the signs toward Palo Alto/University Avenue. Continue on University Avenue and take the first right onto Woodland Avenue after the overpass. Make an immediate right at the next light into the University Circle office complex. For guest parking, take the first left upon entering the complex.
