"This university investigation represented a great opportunity to assist a client who turned to us for help with a difficult and pressing problem. We worked closely with the university’s Vice President and General Counsel, as well as with the Dean of the Law School, to uncover exactly what had happened and who had been involved or had known. We also worked closely with the law school to develop its response to the crisis and to anticipate potential liability. While I was called on for legal research and analysis, my role in the investigation also involved interviewing witnesses—as well as those responsible. In that capacity, I had the opportunity to work side-by-side with the lead partner on the matter, Peter Erichsen, as well as with the university’s General Counsel. Piecing together facts from various witness accounts and getting to the bottom of an evolving set of facts was exciting and challenging in a way I always hoped practicing law would be."
